Blancpain celebrates 70 years of the Ladybird with the Lady B, a miniature automatic watch featuring a sculptural 19mm spherical case. Available in stainless steel or 18K red gold, it pairs an opaline dial with a double-wrap leather strap.
The Lady B revisits the spirit of the 1956 Ladybird Bullet, created during Betty Fiechter’s leadership of Blancpain. Its rounded case gives the watch the presence of a small jewel, while a strap passing directly through the case eliminates conventional lugs. The understated dial displays hours and minutes. Inside, Blancpain’s automatic calibre 615 continues the manufacture’s tradition of miniature mechanical watchmaking. For collectors, the attraction is its distinctive form and historical connection. The steel version offers a cooler appearance, while red gold brings warmth.
