It pairs a warm brown fumé dial and Globolight numerals with the automatic HMC 200 movement and its 72-hour power reserve. The result is a vintage pilot-inspired design with distinctly modern Moser details.
The Heritage Centre Seconds Espresso Fumé brings new attention to one of H. Moser & Cie.'s more discreet collections. Introduced in 2018 with retailer Bucherer, the Heritage line draws on pocket watch-inspired cases, wire-like lugs, and early pilot watch design. This release updates the 2019 Funky Blue model with a coffee-brown fumé dial and a transparent lacquer logo. The large applied numerals are made from Globolight, a ceramic-based material containing Super-LumiNova, giving the vintage layout a contemporary technical twist. CEO Edouard Meylan presented the watch on Instagram as part of Moser's effort to draw inspiration from nearly 200 years of history. It also arrives after he acknowledged in a 2024 interview that the Heritage line had received less attention than Moser's other collections. For collectors, the appeal lies in that restraint: a 200-piece steel watch with an in-house movement, and a design that stands apart from the brand's better-known Streamliner models.
Limited to 200 pieces, the Espresso Fumé adds scarcity to a rarely updated collection. Its appeal comes from the new dial color, transparent logo, Globolight numerals, and in-house HMC 200 movement. For context, WatchCharts recently estimated the market value of the non-limited Funky Blue reference 8200-1201 at about $10,463. That does not predict the Espresso Fumé's value, and this new release does not yet have an established secondary market range.
