About This Release

The IWC Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar ProSet 140 Years Mercedes-Benz (Ref. IW329603) is a 140-piece limited edition marking Mercedes-Benz's 140th anniversary. It is the first Big Pilot to use IWC's Perpetual Calendar ProSet, which adjusts every calendar indication forward and backward through a single crown position. A 42 mm steel case, black dial with solid gold appliqués, and the 1926 Mercedes-Benz logo on the caseback complete the package.

Collector Note

What is it? Released on August 13, 2026, the Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar ProSet 140 Years Mercedes-Benz (Ref. IW329603) celebrates 140 years since Carl Benz patented the automobile in 1886. It is limited to 140 pieces, one for each year of Mercedes-Benz innovation, and continues a partnership that began with Mercedes-AMG in 2004. Why does the ProSet matter? IWC has made perpetual calendars since Kurt Klaus's landmark 1985 design, but the ProSet, introduced at Watches and Wonders 2026, is the brand's biggest rethink of the complication in decades. The fully gear-based module is protected by four patents and lets the owner set the date, day, month, year and moon phase forward or backward from one crown position. There are no recessed correctors, no pushers and no risk of damaging the mechanism by setting in the wrong direction. IWC produces some of its complex parts using the LIGA micro-manufacturing process. How is the dial laid out? Date at 3 o'clock, month at 6, day at 9, and IWC's Double Moon at 12, showing the moon for both hemispheres and accurate to one day in 1,040 years. The four-digit year sits between 7 and 8 o'clock. Solid gold appliqués and gold-plated hands sit on a black dial with a white minute track. What makes this edition special? The sapphire caseback shows the first Mercedes-Benz logo from 1926, combining the Benz laurel wreath with Daimler's three-pointed star to mark the merger of DMG and Benz & Cie. Gold dial details and the 140-piece run set it apart from the regular steel Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar ProSet.

Collector Value

As a 140-piece numbered limited edition with IWC's newly patented ProSet perpetual calendar, the IW329603 is one of the scarcest 2026 Big Pilots. It sits in IWC's long-running Mercedes-Benz collection, alongside the AMG G 63 and Mercedes-AMG F1 team watches, which tend to draw both watch and automotive collectors. The gold dial details and 1926 logo caseback distinguish it from the regular steel Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar ProSet. Expect allocation to go first to established IWC clients. Secondary pricing is not yet established.
