About This Release

The Louis Erard x Vianney Halter Futur Antérieur is a 2026 limited edition that brings the riveted-porthole look of Halter's cult Antiqua to an accessible price. Two raised dials sit on a new 38 x 44mm steel case only 8.85mm thick, each powered by its own Sellita SW100 automatic movement. It comes in Gold and Silver, 178 pieces each, at CHF 4,950.

Collector Note

What is the Louis Erard x Vianney Halter Futur Antérieur? It is the third collaboration between Louis Erard and French independent watchmaker Vianney Halter, following the Le Régulateur (2020) and Le Régulateur II (2024). It is the closest yet to the Vianney Halter Antiqua, the riveted, porthole-dial perpetual calendar that Halter unveiled in Basel in 1998 and that helped define modern independent watchmaking. The design: two raised porthole sub-dials sit diagonally on an asymmetrical case. The lower dial shows hours and minutes, the upper dial shows small seconds. Each porthole has its own sapphire crystal and a stepped bezel set with 12 polished rivets plated in 1N yellow gold, and both crowns carry six matching rivets. Name plaques for Louis Erard and Vianney Halter sit on opposite sides of the case, and the hands are Halter's signature blued steel. The engineering trick: instead of building a dedicated movement, Louis Erard placed two Sellita SW100 automatic calibres side by side. One runs the hours and minutes; the other runs only the seconds. The result is a brand-new 67-part case, 38mm wide, 44mm long and just 8.85mm thick, thinner than many three-hand watches. Two versions: Gold, with yellow gold-plated grained dials on a black ostrich strap, and Silver, with silver-toned grained dials on a blue ostrich strap. Each is limited to 178 pieces, with a caseback engraving reading "Louis Erard x Vianney Halter 1 of 178." A Duo Set of both watches is limited to 78 sets. Why it matters: an original Antiqua is a six-figure auction piece. The Futur Antérieur delivers its signature porthole look, real Halter design input and a numbered limited edition for under CHF 5,000.

Collector Value

Limited to 178 pieces per colorway, plus a 78-piece Duo Set at CHF 9,900 (no discount versus buying both). Earlier Louis Erard x Vianney Halter regulators sold out quickly and drew strong secondary interest, and Halter's profile is rising after his 2026 Bulgari collaboration. This is the most Antiqua-like design yet at a fraction of an original's auction price, so expect fast sell-through. The Gold version is likely to be the more sought-after of the two.
