The Ming x Massena LAB 57.09 Secret Honey is a 125-piece limited edition with three rotating sapphire disks that create a constantly moving honeycomb pattern on the dial. It has a 40mm Grade 5 titanium case with three-tone stepped lugs and is priced at CHF 7,250. Orders open October 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM GMT (9:00 AM ET) exclusively on ming.watch.
The 57.09 Secret Honey is the second collaboration between Ming and Massena LAB, five years after their 2021 17.09 Honey and 17.09 Black. The honeycomb theme returns, but this time the dial moves. How does the dial work? A dark brown lacquered, circular-brushed brass base sits under three stacked sapphire disks that rotate once every 24 hours, 12 hours, and 60 minutes. Each disk has its own color and aperture pattern. As the openings overlap, they create a constantly shifting interference pattern Ming calls "dynamic guilloché." The honey color only fully reveals itself as the disks turn, which is where the "Secret" in the name comes from. How do you read the time? The hour and minute indications are integrated into the 12-hour and 60-minute disks and glow orange in the dark with Super-LumiNova. The indices and both logos are engraved into the box-shaped sapphire crystal and filled with Ming Polar White lume, creating a second glowing layer. What makes the case special? It uses Ming's fifth-generation design with triple-stepped lugs, each built from nine components. The steps are finished in three tones: natural titanium, a yellow-gold-toned TiN coating, and a rose-gold-toned coating, a nod to vintage tri-color gold watches. How big is it? 40mm wide, 10.17mm thick, and 47.8mm lug-to-lug, so it wears well on most wrists. What movement is inside? The Sellita for Ming 330.M2 automatic, with skeletonized, anthracite-coated bridges visible through the sapphire caseback, about 50 hours of power reserve. How many are made and where can you buy it? 125 pieces, sold only at ming.watch starting October 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM GMT. Ming's limited drops typically sell quickly, so be ready at launch. The watch makes its public debut at WatchTime New York, Gotham Hall, October 16–18, 2026.
With only 125 pieces and direct-only sales, the Secret Honey has the hallmarks of a strong secondary-market performer. The 2021 17.09 Massena LAB editions sold out and now appear at auction houses including Phillips. Its animated three-disk dial and tri-tone lugs make it one of Ming's most distinctive designs to date. Expect it to sell out at launch; resale premiums are likely but not guaranteed.
